College Days

Competition Registration 2024

Competitions are limited to junior and seniors in high school. (11th-12th grades).

A $500 scholarship will be given to the first place participant in each competition.
Participants will be evaluated on performance, memorization, musicianship, accuracy, and technique/tone.
Young Man Preaching Challenge
Expository or topical sermon 8-10 minutes
Sample evaluation forms and sermon helps are available on our website on the College Days Competition Information page.
Each participant should come ready to preach one message - expository or topical. It will be evaluated based on their appearance, mannerisms, delivery, content, word organization, illustrations, and proper interpretation/application. The top competitors may preach their message a second time.

Music
Maximum time limit: 4 minutes

All music must be submitted for approval by March 11, 2024. As a reminder, all music choices but be sacred.

Music may be emailed to abigail.curington@heartlandbaptist.edu. If an accompanist is needed, please make a note of this on the music when submitting.

No soundtracks permitted. Participants will be evaluated on selection, presentation, memorization, technique, accuracy, and musicianship.
