Move-In Day (8:30am)
The residence halls will open for students to move in beginning at 8:30am. Go to the Gymnasium to receive your residence hall room assignment.
Job Fair | On-Campus Jobs (2:00pm-3:00pm)
Students can visit the Fellowship Center, on the first floor of the Administration Building, from 2:00pm - 3:00pm to inquire about on-campus job opportunities.
Presidential Reception (4:00pm)
At 4:00pm, Pastor Jason Gaddis will meet with all of the new students and their families during the Presidential Reception in the Sam Davison Biblical Preaching Center.
Saturday, August 22
Incredible Pizza Activity (3:00pm - 6:00pm)
The first student activity of the semester is at Incredible Pizza from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Buses will leave campus at 2:45pm and will arrive back to campus about 6:00pm. You can sign up on Friday morning, August 21, in the gymnasium, or later in the day in the Dean of Students’ Office. The cost for this activity is $5 per person for students and their families.
Sunday, August 23
Welcome Heartland Sunday (starting at 9:45am)
Bus transportation from the campus to the church is available for students who may need a ride. The bus will leave from beside the gym on campus at 9:00am for the morning service and 5:15pm for the evening service.
Welcome Heartland Sunday is designed to help students become familiar with Southwest Baptist Church. Sunday School meets at 9:45am in the Heartland Singles classroom (located on the second floor). All new students—and parents—are welcome!
Following the Sunday School hour, everyone will meet in the main auditorium at 10:45am for the morning service. After the morning service, new students and their immediate family are invited to lunch in the gym at the church. Church membership will be discussed following the meal.
The evening service starts at 6:00pm. After the service, dinner will be provided for new students and their families in the gym at Southwest Baptist Church along with an explanation of how to get involved in church ministries.
Monday, August 24
Registration Day
Registration begins at 8:30am on-campus in the Mike Thomas Memorial Gymnasium. Students should arrive to register at the time indicated below based on the first letter of their last name.
A-B: 8:30
C: 8:50
D-E: 9:10
F-G: 9:30
H-J: 9:50
K-L: 10:10
M-O: 10:30
P-R: 10:50
S: 11:10
T-V: 11:30
W-Z: 11:50
Job Fair | Off-Campus Jobs (12:00pm - 3:00pm)
There will be a job fair located in the Fellowship Center, on the first floor of the Administration Building, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm to allow students to apply for job opportunities with local businesses.
Kickball & Pizza (5:00pm - 8:00pm)
There will be an on-campus activity from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on the softball field. Dinner will also be served during this activity.
